Why does this happen? Because we don't develop a healthy and rewarding relationship with our manager.

Any relationship takes intention and effort. Yet, there is very little formal or informal training available about developing a relationship with your manager.

This course is an honest attempt to fill that gap. It is an answer to this question, 'How do I manage my relationship with my Boss?'

2. About me

I have 19 years of corporate experience, including working with 10 diverse managers and managing at least 5 teams.

Soft skills, contrary to the name, are HARD to learn!

I was quick to observe this. Thus, I have made it my mission to train and coach aspiring individuals to develop career-crucial soft skills.

I too had my challenges with bosses. And one such relationship is noteworthy. I was reporting to a director for more than 5 years. There were times, when I felt miserable, ignored, and side-lined. On a few occasions, I argued but with my manager on the other side, I ended up feeling helpless. Despite this, I respected his managerial skills and business acumen.  So, I turned the searchlight on myself. I observed and learned from my peers who were in his good books. With time, I was able to get our relationship going.  I have shared details of this challenge and turnaround in one of the course chapters. 

In those three years, I learned a lot about succeeding in the corporate world. I have structured my learning with the proven professional best practices to create this course.

3. Your Mission

Your Mission, should you choose to accept it, is to strike a rewarding & enjoyable relationship with your manager.

Your first goal is to develop a game plan for this mission. The principles and techniques shared in this course will help you do that!

The course has 5 sections.

Across those sections, there are 17 lectures. On average, a lecture is longer than 3 minutes.

The lectures are designed with examples, case studies, video clips, and individual exercises that you must do to develop a game plan for your mission. Plus, there are three different quizzes to check what you have learned.


6. Do you have a narcissistic boss?

Sorry to learn that! I've NOT designed this course with 'that' kind of manager in mind; don't want to set any wrong expectations with you. The Ideas in this course are aimed at turning a cold relationship into a warm one and even a good relationship into a great one.

If you are not sure about your manager, this course could be a good start.

The course was launched in June 2020.  Last updated November 2024.

I update the course based on direct student feedback and questions.
